As the business grows, trusted data foundations will shape faster planning, clearer reporting and better operational insight. As Lead Analytics Engineer, you will own the analytics engineering layer within Graphcore’s data platform. You will build curated models, trusted metrics and semantic structures that teams can use with confidence. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand how decisions are made. Then you will turn raw data and ambiguous questions into governed datasets that support real action.This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership and visible impact across the business. The team and culture The Data & Analytics team builds trusted data foundations, scalable platforms and high-quality data products. Work happens through close partnership with teams across business, product, engineering and operations. You will act as the bridge between stakeholders and data engineers. You will shape models that reflect how the business works, not just how systems store data.  Decisions are grounded in evidence, clear definitions and practical delivery. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, take responsibility and help raise analytics engineering standards. What we're looking for · Demonstrable experience building production-quality dbt models for reliable self-service analytics · Strong SQL skills, with experience designing maintainable transformation layers in a modern data platform · Proven ability to translate business requirements and raw datasets into intuitive, governed data models · Strong grasp of analytics engineering practices, including model layering, documentation, testing and semantic consistency · Experience defining and maintaining trusted metrics, KPIs and curated datasets for business use · Practical communication style, with the confidence to influence decisions and challenge assumptions constructively While we have outlined a set of requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences.
