Department This is an opportunity to join a large, dynamic research group developing genetic methods for the control of pest insects, especially mosquitoes. The specific project, funded by the Wellcome Trust, aims to develop ‘refractory insects’ - mosquitoes that are less able to transmit specific pathogens, in this case alphaviruses such as chikungunya virus.
